Advantage of motorcycle by using PGM FI system

On December 1, 2005, AHM introduced PGM FI technology in supra 125 which made it as the first motorcycle in Indonesia with PGM FI technology.


Here are some advantages of motorcycle that uses PGM FI system.

  • More fuel efficient. With motorcycle pgm system more efficient in fuel use, because the fuel particles are smaller, so it burns more perfect
  • The machine is easy to turn on. In any cold or hot conditions, the machine using the pgm system is easier to turn on even when it is not in use in the old range
  • Easy care. The advantages of the next motorcycle is easy on the component parts, injector, fuel pump, throttle body does not need to be cleaned regularly, just a change of gasoline filter every 48,000 km.
  •  Environmentally friendly. The pgm fi system has the advantage of reducing exhaust gases and even being able to meet EURO-3 emission standards

Self diagnostic function and trouble shooting PGM FI

On motorbikes using PGM FI system are equipped with Self diagnostic fungtion or independent diagnostic function. so when the ECM detects an abnormal response from the PGM FI system then the MIL (malfuction indicator lamp) will blink in accordance with the independent diagnostic function of the system in order to notify the rider of any problems on his motorcycle, MIL is usually located on the speedometer panel. At the beginning of the ignition key is turned to ON, the MIL lamp indicator will light ± 2 seconds and then will die (calibration mark), if there is a failure or abnormality on sensor sensor PGM FI, MIL will give the code in the form of MIL flicker according to sensor the damaged one. If the system is abnormal when the ignition key is turned ON it will turn on ± 2 second then MIL will light again according to failure code detected.
